Assistant Superintendent - Pat Breen
Mr. Pat Breen
Hello Falcon Nation!
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share how excited I am to work with such a dedicated and proud team of educators! My name is Patrick Breen and I am excited to serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and curriculum at Constantine Public Schools. In my short time with Constantine, I have grown to love our strong tradition of excellence and commitment to doing whatever it takes for our students.
A little about myself - I have a wonderful family beginning with my beautiful wife, Stacie, and two children Addison (10) and Levi (7). My wife and I have grown up in St. Joseph, MI and are both ‘02 St. Joseph High School graduates. We still live there today. After graduating from Taylor University, I began my teaching career at Wabash High School in Wabash, IN as a Social Studies teacher. I taught mainly U.S. History, AP USH, World History and some other electives in my six years at Wabash along with sponsoring many clubs and activities. I coached middle school and JV football as well as the Academic Superbowl teams.
I received my M.S. Ed from Indiana University - Fort Wayne in Educational Leadership and was hired in 2013 as the Assistant Principal/Curriculum Coordinator at River Valley Middle High School in Three Oaks, MI. This allowed my wife and I to move back to Southwest MI to raise our family back home where we have been for the past eight years. After four years as the Assistant Principal, two of those years also serving as the Athletic Director, I was fortunate to become the Principal at the Middle High School where I have served in that role for four years. I came to Constantine to serve as the High School Principal for one year before transitioning to my current role.
I am a firm believer that culture drives the success of any organization. If we want to achieve greatness at CPS, we must commit ourselves to the values that will allow us to build trust, unity, and teamwork as a staff so we can model the way for our students. Our Core Values at CPS drive our culture and I am committed to continuing that initiative in everything we do.
I am energized by working with teachers and all staff as we build our skills in instructional leadership and curriculum delivery. As we explore the WHY and build on our mission, we must have the tools to implement that vision effectively which is the primary focus of my role. I am proud to be a Falcon and see great things in our future!
Sincerely,
Patrick Breen
